Did I ever tell you how much I love the myths? No?


Well... I ADORE this kind of stories, even from childhood, I was attracted to Family of Influence- agents of the Olympians,the Greek gods, on Earth and controls Earth, each family controls number of countries and they execute the agenda of the gods under the guise of presidents, monarchs and dictators, they chose the rulers, wether good or bad. They put them in power and when their time is up, they remove them from power.



The story centers around Siobhan and her way of falling in love with the Greek God Apollo. He is not only the God of the Sun and the Music, but he is also someone very seductive with a lot of interest on our beautiful woman. Siobhan is a virgin at 22, but that not only makes our male-amazing characters to become almost crazy for her, but he wants her desperately. Yet, Siobhan is not ready to let go. Fate bought them together for a reason and you can almost touch the tension between these two.


Even though she does not want to admit to their connection, she is clearly affected by him, but she does not give him the opportunity to get that idea into his head. Yet, his music could destroy every single iced heart out there, his music could bring you to the realms of heaven in no time. His music could make you scream in pleasure, his music could mend your heart. His is perfection when it comes to any aspect and Siobhan is the one that can get his attention, because he seems interested only in her.


But as any in her right mind woman, Siobhan finally decides it is time to act on her instincts. She offers him her virginity, but mostly because their connection is no longer undeniable. They continue to become their own and no one else's for weeks, but then the inevitable happens.

He leaves because of some complication, she hurt him even though she didn't intent to. But when she finds out that she is pregnant everything changes. Radically.

Will Apollo come back? Will everything change?


But in the same time, Apollo has an secret agenda, a plan that includes Siobhan and in the same time the future of humanity, a future that not many Gods agree to and obviously they will try to kill Siobhan and her unborn children without a second throught. So you will have not only romance, but action and drama in the same packet, a beautiful packet that presents a new vision on the stories that we all grew with...

Capitanul Jack Sparrow ( Johnny Depp) se trezeste din nou prins intr-o intriga supranaturala. El afla ca are o datorie de sange in contul legendarului Davey Jones, stapanul infam al adancurilor oceanului si Capitanul corabiei-fantoma The Flying Dutchman (Olandezul Zburator).

Jack are o limita de timp in care trebuie sa se achite de datorie, daca nu vrea sa-si petreaca viata de dupa moarte blestemata in servitudine. Si daca asta nu este de ajuns, problema lui Jack ii atrage in incurcatura si pe Will Turner (Orlando Blomm) si Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) carora le strica planurile de casatorie, ei fiind nevoiti sa i se alature lui Jack pentru a-l ajuta.

Recenzie:


Ei bine- pentru cei care eraţi reticenţi în a urmări primul film din această serie, această continuare vă este dedicată- v-am povestit despre iubirea mea veşnică şi necondiţionată pentru Johnny Depp şi aceste filme, de data aceasta situaţia se complică şi mai mult, iar, evident, povestea devine şi mai bună!

În primul rând, eram foarte nerăbdătoare şi entuziasmată în a găsi şi viziona această continuare, dar nu mi-am imaginat că o voi iubi şi mai mult decât pe primul film! Când am ieşit din librăria Diverta cu dvd-ul în mâna mea, nu mi-am imaginat pentru o clipă că mă voi îndrăgosti şi mai mult (nici nu credeam că era cu putinţă) de această serie sau că voi ajunge, astăzi să-i postez recenzia!

Dar să o luăm cu începutul... pentru cei care nu aţi urmărit primul film, deşi eu vă recomand să o faceţi, nu este nicio problemă dacă vă decideţi să începeţi cu acest film, deoarece doar acesta şi filmul următor- Până la capătul lumii- acţiunea este strâns legată, în rest pot fi vizionate separat...

De data aceasta, Jack reuşeşte, din nou, să intre intr-un bucluc chiar mai mare decât primul, deşi în apărarea lui, nu este o problemă nouă, ci dimpotrivă, în urmă cu foarte mulţiani, Jack şi-a dorit un vapor. Iar Davey Jones i-a îndeplinit visul, cu o micăăăă condiţie: odată ce termenul se va împlini, Jack urma să muncească pentru Davey Jones, pe vaporul acestuia, timp de... 100 de ani! Ghici ce! În ciuda faptului că Jack nu a fost căpitanul Perlei Negre, din cauza răscoalei şi preluării conducerii de secundul lui, Barbossa- aşa cum ştim că s-a întâmplat în 'Blestemul Perlei Negre', totuşi Jack s-a lăudat peste tot că el este adevăratul căpitan al navei, pe atunci blestemate, aşa încât Jack şi-a îndeplinit visul, în ochii lui Jones, iar acesta din urmă îşi doreşte răsplata. Desigur că Jack nu este de acord şi încearcă să-şi evite sentinţa.

Cum? Ei bine, vă amintiţi că în recenzia anterioară am menţionat că Jack ar fi capabil să-şi vândă iubita pentru a scăpa de probleme? Nu, nu îşi vinde iubita, dar îl vinde în schimb pe iubitul acesteia... pe Will, care încearcă el însuşi să-l vândă pe Jack în schimbul eliberării lui Elizabeth...

Sună complicat, nu-i aşa? Este... dar ca întotdeauna umorul se păstrează, de fapt aş îndrăzni să spun că vom avea parte chiar de mai mult umor, sarcasm şi aventură decât în filmul precedent. Mai ales pentru că vom avea parte de interpretarea impresionantă a lui Davey Jones ( Bill Nighy) şi Bill Turner Senior (Stellan Skarsgård), care au fost pur şi simplu incredibili în rolurile lor. Nighy fiind crud, sângeros şi doar un individ lipsit de sentimente sau... inimă, iar Skasgard fiind incredibil ca tatăl cuprins de remuşcări care ar da orice ca fiul lui să nu împărtăşască aceeaşi soartă.

Efectele speciale sunt mult mai impresionante, observându-se cu uşurinţă o dezvoltare în această privinţă, spre exemplu în privinţa scenei monstrul trimis de Olandezul Zburător, Kraken, pentru a distruge vasele din scenele respectiv. Sunt scene dramatizate chiar mai mult cu ajutorul coloanei sonore.
  

În plus umorul apare chiar şi mai mult prin diverse situaţii la care nu te-ai aştepta, precum în scena dramatică cu Jack, Will şi comandantul care se luptăp pentru a pune mâna pe cheia ce le va aduce faimosul cufăr al lui Davey Jones. Iar aceea scenă presupune o roată imensă ţi o luptă de clasa întâi... nu mă credeţ? Priviţi!

 
Personaje:

Davey Jones- am ales să vorbesc despre el şi nu protagonişti, deoarece pe aceştia i-am prezentat data trecută şi urmază să-i prezint din nou în recenzia 'La Capătul Lumii'. Despre Davey Jones se spun foarte multe zvonuri- se pare că acesta s-ar fi îndrăgostit de o femeie, alţii de mare şi că ar fi fost blestemat să nu-şi găsească liniştea niciodată.... dar dacă Davey nu este mort, atunci cum poate fi ceva adevărat. Ei bine nu aflăm adevărutl.... cel puţin nu acum, totuşi este foarte adevărat că acesta este incredibil de crud şi lipsit de emoţii. Singurul lui scop în viaţă este să călătoarească pe mare, terorizându-i pe cei care nu l-au cunoscut. Iar cât despre cei care l-au cunoscut.... cred că îşi doresc să nu o fi făcut.

 
Bill Turner.... a fost singurul care i-a ţinut piept lui Barbossa, atunci când acesta a sugerat să se descotorosească de Jack. Dar, în cele din urmă moare, sau cel puţin aşa se crede...
 
Verdict Final- Un film care aduce pe micile şi marile ecrane în faţa voastră o producţie excelentă, având parte de efecte speciale care reuşesc să te impresioneze din primul moment, acest film este continuarea (chiar mai bună) a unei serii cu şi despre piraţi. Vă sfătuiesc să-l urmăriţi dacă vreţi aventură, comedie şi chiar romance...

Review:

A beautiful story that's the first words that comes in my mind when I think of Ryan and Portia's story. More so is sweet, and somehow, when I think about this story, I think  the title: 'Sway with me'... like 'Let go of your problems,  to your worst parts of your life and let the music take a hold of you...

You know that times when your life seems to be a constant circle of trouble and you can't find a positive fact in all your misery and then... pow... you have on your desk (or kindle) a sweet story, but it seems to only make your misery grow because the story's character have a better life than you have, and so to remind you... again... that life sucks?

Yep- that's how I was thinking those latest days when I had my book's copy and all my thoughts were concentrating on the worst aspects of my life, but then you start reading this story and the laughter comes naturally, all of the sudden life seems more easy and, certainly, less complicated then theirs and you realize that even though, the problems of your life can make your existence miserable, you'll always find your way through tin and that. You just have to stop and let it go...

But let's talk about the story... Ryan Sullivan is an ex-millionaire who had problems in the latest years because he's broke... you may ask yourself if his parents, his family is also broke. The answer will be no- his family, more exactly his parents are full of money and their life is perfect, so no, it is just him the only family member that doesn't have a cent in his pocket, but that is  because of his stupidity when it comes to women. So, when his Uncle dies and he answers to George, his uncle's attorney, he thinks that his friend Braden was pranking him. Once that he realized the layer meant business, Ryan didn't know what he did to deserve an inheritance, but he accept it anyway,because he wants with desperation to escape his financial problems  and be again in the good grace of his parents.

Ei bine, vreau sa va arat cateva dintre achizitiile mele anterioare. Stiu, din nou.... dar, ce pot spune... mi-a.a placut reactia voastra plina de entuziasm, asa ca...

Doua adevaruri si o minciuna am cumparat-o de la libraria Libris, cartile scrise de Agatha Christie le-am cumparat impreuna cu ziarul Libertatea, Nascuta la miezul noptii, Sub aceeasi stea si celelalte carti din fotografia respectiva le-am achizitionat de libraria online Elefant, la fel si in cazul fotografiei cu Bone Season, Revelatia, Dupa sapte ani, etc.

In cazul cartii Sweet Peril, ei bine sunt o mare fana a seriei, asa incat nu puteam pierde ocazia si sa nu o am in biblioteca, atunci cand a aparut la Libris, nu-i asa?

Celelalte carti din imaginea respectiva, au fost achizitionate de la Editura Litera in timpul acelor reduceri extraordinare din vara anului trecut, daca va amintiti...


Iar in privinta cartilor Divergent, Pe jumatate moarta, Jocul Minciunii si Pasiuni de sucub au fost achizitionate intimpul reducerilor cu ocazia sarbatorilor de iarna din 2011 de la Editura Leda.

Deci, pentru moment ma opresc aici si astept parerile voastre, despre cartile prezentate, achizitiile voastre si orice vreti voi...

In the start of this novel we meet Allegra Jackson, who works as a head-hunter for the Valentina Blackheart Models for the last six years and she loves her jobe. And let's face it... who wouldn't?
All the glamour and and money, and party, because someone in her position has easy acces tu such things. But it's also a world of assholes and fake, fake accent, fake men...

But she lover even with her faults and she tries to be the best in everything she does, like to impress other bussiness people to use her models for covers or to check the models for any signs of cellulites or problems eith their skin...

She has a very active life, professional speaking, but also her private life is wild and full of action, because someone with her power can participate in the most debauchery parties even seen by the human kind, well maybe I exagerate a little, but she can have all the funn she wants without the prejudice and judgement of the otber people...

Allevra has the on her side the help of her fabulous gay assistant, Oliver, who is at her beck and call and helps her with everything she needs...

Really it's a very funny story and fore the most part we see her adventures amd the life she's leading, because even though we can't feel, touch, smell and kiss like her -her words, not mine, we can see her struggle to do her job and her moments of fun with the other men.

The moment of the synopsis came much later in the story, but that's alright because in all this time we hear her story and we came to understand her more, to understand her good parts but also her defaults.

On her background, I can tell you that she has attended a drag-queen party where she meets Walter Berkley, a socialite american who was a head-hunter for the VB Models ( Valentina Blackheart) at that time and he sugested to try to find a job at this industry... and that's how Allegra Jackson was born.

All this is fun and perfect for her until one night when she and her friend, Walter are at a restaurant and meets Sebastian Beaumont from Beaumont Realtors who helps her see an other side of the world, a more simplier, but very beautiful in the same time, side.

But how can be together when her world is so different of his?

And more importantly what will she do now that she has received an amazing opportunity from her boss, Valentina Backheart, who I must say has a complicated daughter-mother relationship with her own lesbian daughter. Ironically, it's not her daughter sexuallity that's  a issue for Valentina. Oh, no! It's the fact that her daugther hate all that has the minimal connection with looks, because that reminds her of her mother and that tends to bring back all the issues with her mother divorce from her father. But that's alright, because Walter is the gay son she never had and always wanted so she can be a mother for him and for Allegra. But she has a plan that we'll rock Allegra's world.

Characters:


I won't lie, I found Allegra a little shallow on the start of this novel and I didn't changebmy mind until Sebastian has became her lover, but until that moment, all it seemed fake and shallow, even though I did enjoy her adventures and her humor, but I was mad on her because of her decision about Valentina's offer.

Sebastian-is a noble and very beautiful man, on the outside but more importantly on the inside. And in the end of the book, I was mad on Allegra about her cold behaviour with Sebastian. He didn't deserve this. Hell! He even came from miles away to convince her that they could have a chance, but in the same time I did understood her decision, because it wasn't fair to bound a man like him with her when they couldn't have a chance....

Final Verdict- a story with humor and drama, but more humor, that offers us, readers, an insight in the life of Allegra Jackson, an insight in the life of all the glamorous people with more money than they could now what to do...

I nodded my head and watched as Adam’s hand lingered on the neck of the Ibanez™ before he picked it back up and slipped the strap over his shoulder.
I sat on the edge of the bed as he began to play without an amplifier.
The noise was tinny without the electric part hooked up but that didn’t matter.  Adam’s fingers moved effortlessly from fret to fret as he strummed the guitar. His head nodded ever so slightly to the beat and his bare foot tapped the floor as he closed his eyes and a smile formed on his lips.
I stood and placed my hands around his neck, yet he continued to play, nod his head and tap his foot with eyes closed. The only change was on his lips as they crept into the seductive grin.
I leaned into him, letting my hands comb through the hair on the back of his head as my breath washed over his lips.
Still nothing. The guitar continued to hum with his talent.
I let my lips hover over his, then let them wander over the soft skin of his neck and up the stubble of his chin. The beat remained smooth, undisturbed as the strings squealed and he deepened the riff.
I paused as my lips reached his again, lingering at the corner of his mouth where the cold metal of his lip ring teased me just as much as his fingers on the guitar.
I let my mouth run over the metal until it caught in my teeth and I sucked it in.
Finally, his body reacted tensing as he groaned—but his playing didn’t cease, didn’t change. He still resisted, hand strumming a tease over the strings next to the skin of my belly.
His mouth responded to mine as I let the ring and his lip slowly slip away from me. That was it— the guitar spun to his back and he yanked my hips to his own.
“I need you to play me like that guitar,” I gasped as his hand tilted my head and his tongue ran over my trembling neck.
His other hand drifted down my torso.
“Good, because I wasn’t done with my song,” he growled into my ear.




About the Author:




Cassandra doesn't remember a time when she wasn't writing. In fact, the first time she was published was when she was seven years old and won a contest to be published in an American Girl Doll novel.

In 2013 she branched out by using her artistic illustrating talents to publish her first Children's novel, The Adventures of Skippy Von Flippy: Tales of Friendship (Skippy Tales, #1). Cassandra released her first New Adult novel, Love Exactly, which became an Amazon Bestseller overnight in June of 2013.

She's currently working on her new New Adult Contemporary Romance, Beautifully Flawed. The first novel in the series, Flawed Perfection is scheduled to be published on March 7, 2014. Besides being a writer, Cassandra is a professional photographer known for her automotive, nature and architectural shots. She is the owner of Gio Design Studios Photography and Gio Design Studios Publication Marketing . She is currently studying to receive a degree in Marketing. Cassandra is happily married to the man of her dreams and they live in the rolling hills of New England with the other loves of her life their dogs, Bubski and Kanga.
